Bio

Nineteen years have passed since Doug Herman lost his wife and daughter to an HIV-infected blood transfusion. Since then, Doug has authored 5 books, 3 DVDs, logged over 3500 public school assemblies worldwide, and launched his Pure Revolution conferences for families. His dramatic speaking and story-telling skills have placed him before concert audiences and national youth gatherings.

Thirty years old and single, Abby shares
her story of abstinence to help students realize that staying sexually pure is a
realistic goal. Weaving this powerful message throughout her presentation, Abby
inspires students to choose the ‘abstinence advantage’ for themselves. Her Italian
expressiveness and clever humor make Abby a dynamic abstinence speaker with a
message students are sure to remember.

Scott Phelps

Scott Phelps has worked with youth in San Francisco and Chicago and each year speaks to thousands of teens around the country on the benefits of abstinence until marriage


He provides training seminars nationally to help educators and parents effectively communicate the message of abstinence to teens. His career is dedicated to helping today’s teens to resist negative pressures and make good decisions for their lives. Scott and his wife Carrie have four children, and reside near Chicago. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and a Master’s degree from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois.

Kathy Gowler

Kathy_Gowler.jpgKathy Gowler - author, conference speaker and co-founder of Closer: Moms and Daughters, has counseled hundreds of teen girls and encouraged moms around the world as they navigate the turbulent pre-teen and teenage years.

Her "Help! I Have a Teen Daughter!" message has been shared on Focus on the Family's Mother/Daughter cruises, the Girl's Getaway Cruise, Closer: Moms and Daughters conferences and women's events around the nation.

A mom who's "been there", and author of "Here For You, Creating a Mother/Daughter Bond That Lasts a Lifetime
and "What Your Daughter Isn't Telling You", Kathy's experience and insight into the world of teen girls both equips and encourages moms to help make parenting pre-teen and teenage daughters a fulfilling and memory-making experience.

Colin Hearn was born in Lambeth, London in the United Kingdom. He attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Colin has been a part of numerous productions throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. Theater work includes “West End to Broadway,” “Aladdin,” “Wizard of Oz,” “Marriage of Figaro” and “Little Mary Sunshine”. He spent six years as a Musical Director for the music ministry, The Continentals. Colin served as the Musical Director for Youth For Christ in the United Kingdom for several years and has directed and performed in the drama company, Jeremiah People.

Molly Sanborn

Molly SanbornMolly is 27 years old and from Minneapolis, MN, but it seems she finds herself elsewhere quite often. Some of her adventures include climbing the Great Wall of China, floating in the Dead Sea in Israel, going to Nationals for college volleyball, riding her motorcycle around Minneapolis and cliff jumping on the island of Saipan. Her latest adventure took place in Minneapolis where she developed and opened Overflow Espresso Café.

For Molly, life is an adventure and she is convinced that it was meant to be lived that way. She is committed to helping others experience life to the fullest, and does so through her upbeat, laughter filled, relevant messages.

The platform Molly stands on is her own life story. Announcing that she is 27 years old and newly married to a man that lived out the same committment to abstinence as she did. Together, they have 65 years of virginity, and that seems to get her audience’s attention! As one student put it, "She is living proof."

Christopher Stefanik

christopher stefanikChristopher has years of experience in youth and young adult ministry. He’s also a proud husband and dad of four. Chris has served at parishes in the East Los Angeles area and in Pennsylvania, and as the Diocesan Director of Youth Ministry for La Crosse, WI. He is currently the Director of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry for the Archdiocese of Denver.

You can hear Chris regularly talking about the saints on Relevant Radio as the Vice President of the Dead Theologians Society and occasionally on Catholic Answers Live as one of their chastity speakers. Chris recently co-authored his first book with Matt Pinto, “Do I Have to Go? – 101 questions about the Mass, the Eucharist, and Your Spiritual Life” released in January 2008.

Chris’ dynamic and intimate stage presence enables him to connect with huge crowds as he shares gripping stories, humor, music, and drama. His dynamic presentations and retreats inspire tens of thousands of young people every year.
